NYC calls for ‘Month of the Ocean’ involvement

MANILA, Philippines — The month of May has been declared as the “Month of the Ocean” through Proclamation No. 57, s. 1999. In observance, the National Youth Commission calls on the public, particularly young people, to be part of month-long environmental activities to protect oceans and reefs. With the theme, “Together for our Reefs”, the cause will educate young people on doable actions and climate-smart lifestyle this summer in line with raising awareness on the current state of the oceans and reefs.
