Globe Business and Apple: Best partners for the maximum iPhone 4S experience
MANILA, Philippines - Globe Business is a trusted and reliable partner of Apple when it comes to providing the best iPhone experience to large enterprise and SME iPhone users.
Since 2008, Globe Telecom has been and remains the first and biggest retailer of Apple products in the country — and it promises to bring more exciting offers for the iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 4S is available in 130 Globe stores nationwide and delivered to key customers on the same day.
“To get the best experience on the iPhone, you need a provider with the experience and the technology that allows users to maximize their Apple mobile devices. Globe Telecom is years ahead of other providers when it comes to offers and services that suit the mobile browsing needs and habits of customers,” said Boboy Romero, head of Globe Business.
Romero noted that years of experience allow Globe Business to know the complete range of Apple products inside and out. As a result, it is able to provide subscribers the best packages for mobile browsing, SMS and voice calls for the iPhone.
According to Romero, entrepreneurs and executives in particular would greatly benefit from the partnership between Globe and Apple.
“Entrepreneurs and corporate clients will be able to run their business better by using Apple’s iPhone 4S with Globe as the telecom provider. The advanced technology, features and capabilities of the iPhone 4S can give entrepreneurs and executives the right tools to run their business simpler, more efficient and at low cost — but that is only possible with the partnership between Globe and Apple,” he said.
He explained that Globe and Apple have been partners since 2005, when Globe, as telecom provider, became the exclusive partner of Apple. After three years, Globe readily became the country’s number one retailer of Apple products.
He also pointed out that Globe Telecom’s years of partnership with Apple results in best-value deals for subscribers when it comes to the complete iPhone and iPad product portfolio.
“We have years of experience in getting to know our subscribers. We know what they need and when they need it. We design and customize our packages to bring out the full power of the iPhone to create a thrilling and productive experience for each iPhone user,” Romero said.
Thousands of pre-orders
Whenever someone thinks of getting an iPhone, the very first provider in mind is Globe. This is proven by the thousands of pre-orders for the iPhone 4S that flooded different Globe Telecom centers in the country — in just a matter of three days.
As the iPhone 4S becomes available to customers, Globe is more than ready to roll out the full array of Apple mobile devices, from iPhones to the iPad 2, as bundled with innovative subscription plans, products and services.
The iPhone 4S is packed with incredible, cutting-edge features. These include Apple’s dual-core A5 chip for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics. The all-new camera is equipped with advanced optics that, together with the powerful processor, allows full 1080p HD resolution video recording.
Then there’s the voice-activated digital assistant known as Siri which has advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology that helps users get quick information, manage their schedule, navigate their location and accomplish tasks. Siri interacts with the iPhone 4S user through speech commands and interfaces — all that the user has to do is literally speak to Siri to get things done.
“The amazing capabilities of the iPhone 4S can only be unleashed and enjoyed fully through the advanced 4G mobile technology of Globe. We were the first to integrate HSPA+ (Evolved High-Speed Packet Access) into our cell sites and base stations in the country. Globe launched first massive 4G commercial rollout in the country. This is in preparation for the future of mobile technology, where iPhone users, among them, would need more than just SMS and voice calls.
“Mobile devices today, particularly the iPhone 4S, are not just cellular phones. They are mobile data devices that process search engines, video streaming, e-mails, gaming, chat, and even maps and GPS technology. The high-tech capabilities of these devices need to be matched with a provider with the most advanced levels of technology, speed and reliability. That’s exactly what subscribers get from Globe,” said Romero.

Most advanced
The release of the iPhone 4S coincides with Globe’s network transformation program. The company is currently undertaking a massive, $790-million network modernization and IT transformation program and in the next two years, its base stations deployed nationwide are going to be HSPA+ and 3G-enabled. This will make the Globe Telecom network the most advanced in the country.
As of end-September 2011, Globe postpaid subscribers reached 1.37 million, up 39 percent year-on-year. The company’s mobile data business is also a key growth driver, with revenues accounting for 52 percent of total mobile service revenues and growing by 11 percent to P20.8 billion, on the back of new, affordable services that promote the use of mobile Internet for social networking, search engine and e-mail services.
