Turn a new leaf and be eco-friendly with Nokia C6-01

-

MANILA, Philippines –  To welcome 2011, people make plans on improving themselves like having a healthier lifestyle and better relationships.

Together with these basic goals, their New Year’s resolutions might also include becoming environmentally friendly. For that purpose, the Nokia C6-01 is just the phone to motivate them.

Nokia, the world’s number 1 mobile brand, introduces a feature-rich “green” phone that allows users to stay on top of their social life while on the go and at the same time become an advocate for environment protection.

“We want to provide our mobile consumers a phone that will provide them with a fast and easy social networking experience, and with the environment in mind,” said Benoit Nalin, general manager of Nokia Philippines.

“The Nokia C6-01 was designed using innovative materials and the new Symbian platform, and is equipped with multimedia functions that all work together to decrease environmental impact,” Benoit added.

‘Green’ smartphone

The Nokia C6-01 is one of Nokia’s greenest devices to date with its alternative innovative materials, energy-saving features and chargers with lowest standby power.

It features the use of bio plastics and recycled metals for much of its construction, so it is free from PVC, BFR (brominated flame retardants) and RFR (chlorinated and brominated compounds and antimony trioxide).

It boasts of OLED displays, power save mode and high efficiency chargers. Plus, it has a built-in electronic user guide that reduces the need for printed user manuals.

All these elements decrease the environmental impact of the product throughout their lifecycle, including manufacturing, use and recycling.

Feature-rich device

In addition, the Nokia C6-01 can replace other gadgets, like a camera and music player because of its feature-rich design.

Instead of buying, using and charging multiple devices, users can get several functions in this one gadget which will make a big difference for the environment.

The Nokia C6-01 has an eight-megapixel full focus camera with dual-LED flash that is also capable of shooting 720p high-definition videos. And it’s got a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen featuring for the first time, the new ClearBlack display technology that provides clearer, more vibrant colors and improved outdoor visibility.

It also comes with a Music Player, WebTV, and free navigation through Ovi Maps, and extra apps from Ovi Store. And with usable 340MB internal memory and support for up to 32GB microSD memory card, users can save pictures, music, videos, games and apps on their mobile phone.

Social networking gadget

Aside from being eco-friendly and multi-functional, the Nokia C6-01 is a stylish and compact smartphone ideal for people who want to be easily connected with family and friends and accomplish daily tasks.

It enables live feeds from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter directly on the home screen via the dedicated Social Client. And it is a fully functional communicator with support for 3G and Wi-Fi on board.

It is also the smallest and most affordable of the new family of Symbian devices. Nokia C6-01 has an SRP of P18,970, measures 103.8 x 52.5 x 13.9 mm and weighs only 131g. It is available in black and silver gray colors.

This year, with the new Nokia C6-01, mobile users can turn a new leaf and fulfill their promise to become more eco-friendly. What’s more, they don’t have to worry about their old phones because they can drop these off at the recycle bins at any Nokia Care Center near them. This ensures the phones are disposed of in the proper manner and don’t add to the electronic waste in the dumps.
