New Sony Ericsson Walkmans offer direct access to YouTube

-

No longer do you need to make a choice between music, media and imaging when picking your next phone. Compromise is now a thing of the past, thanks to Sony Ericsson’s latest Walkman phones.

Downsize your bag, free your pockets and leave your music player and camera at home — both handsets enable you to play your favorite tunes, snap those precious moments or watch crystal-clear video on the bright QVGA screens.

Also, both phones have a fantastic added feature that lets you upload videos or download your favorite clips from YouTube.

Sony Ericsson has partnered with YouTube owner Google to integrate the website into the W902 and W595 Walkman phones, enabling users to instantly access YouTube from their phone. By tilting the phone you can watch the videos in full-screen landscape mode.

W902 Walkman

The W902 Walkman is a phone that goes beyond music and gives users everything they need in one pocket-sized stylish device. With an 8GB Memory Stick Micro (M2), you can store more than 8,000 songs and enjoy the clear audio experience.

You can also switch seamlessly from music to image capture using the five-megapixel auto focus camera with photoflash.

“We all want more from our mobile phones than ever before,” said Chris Lee, Sony Ericsson vice president for marketing. “If you love music but don’t want to compromise on imaging and video, we have used our expertise as music phone specialists to give users a truly multimedia experience with this latest phone.”

“The possibility to watch millions of videos from YouTube with just a click of a button is just an amazing user experience. The W902 is one of our most high-performing phones yet perfect for those who want it all,” Lee added.

The W902 delivers music as it was meant to be heard through Sony Ericsson’s revolutionary clear audio experience. With crystal-clear sound quality and a dramatically richer bass, together with Sony Ericsson premium headphones, HPM-77 included in-box, your favorite tracks will sound better than ever.

The W902 features the same superior sound quality as the W980, which was rated “best audio experience” last July in a trial conducted in Germany by TESTfactory.

The W902 offers crystal-clear video playback at 30 fps with direct access to YouTube. Its scratch-resistant 2.2” QVGA screen and lens is made with mineral glass.

Retro music navigation keys also let you skip forward, back, play and pause with the push of a button.

W595 Walkman

For the real rocker in you, the W595 Walkman is packed with innovations for great music and media moments. You can share your music silently with a friend by just connecting the additional headset to your share jack or let your friends enjoy the music with you via stereo speakers or Bluetooth stereo streaming.

Just as the W902, it, too, features a 2.2” bright and large screen for impressive video capabilities. Store and play over 1,900 tunes in the 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) or share great sounds through the built-in stereo speakers.

To complete your music listening experience, you can make playlists that match your moods with SensMe and change your tune or raise the volume with a flick of your wrist using Shake control.

The W595 even comes with preloaded games for a full entertainment package.

TrackID and SensMe let you know what you are listening to and a 3.2-megapixel camera allows you to snap some great shots and share with friends.

The W902 Walkman is a UMTS/HSDPA 2100 and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 phone that will be available in Volcanic Black, Wine Red and Earth Green.

The W595 Walkman is a UMTS/HSDPA 2100 and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 phone that will be available in Active Blue, Cosmopolitan White, Jungle Gray and Lava Black.
