New Sony Ericsson G900 brings power to your fingertips

-

Sony Ericsson has launched the G900 phone, a powerful and sleek organizer with a large 2.4-inch Touch Panel for intuitive finger-friendly operation.

Made for people on the go, the G900 lets the user easily browse contacts, read e-mails and calendars, scribble notes, take photos and visit his favorite websites — all with the fingertips.

Weighing under 100 grams, the G900 is only 13-mm thick and comes dressed in two luxurious colors — dark red and dark brown.

“The Sony Ericsson G900 is power at your fingertips,” said Chris Lee, Sony Ericsson vice president for marketing in the Asia-Pacific.

“Apart from organizer functions in a sleek form factor, the G900 is designed for intuitive finger-navigation — from capturing sharp photos on the five-megapixel Touch Focus camera to scribbling creative thoughts with its Note-it application,” he added.

The intuitive 2.4” touch-screen menu of the G900 allows the user to scroll and touch with his finger to access his favorite features on the phone, such as touch-screen messaging, Web surfing and calendar.

Let the finger do the browsing as you scroll through e-mails, contacts and photos on the G900. Contact someone by simply touching the contact name on the mobile phonebook or browse through the photo album with the fingers. The G900 also comes with hardware keys for messaging and notes.

The G900’s Touch Focus five-megapixel camera lets the user capture the finest moments in life with just a fingertip. Frame shots on how you would like the picture to look, and then tell the camera where you want to focus by simply touching the screen with the G900’s Touch Auto Focus. You will not miss a shot with the G900’s Camera Multi-Shot function for photo opportunities that require consecutive shots.

With the G900, the user can jot down notes on the screen like you would with a pen and paper, and save them on the phone’s desktop as reminders. You can even draw a map to the local shop or doodle personal notes and share them with loved ones via e-mail, MMS or blogs.

The G900 supports up to 4.1GB memory so there is lots of room for spontaneous thoughts or inspiring photos.

Access your favorite Web pages in Wi-Fi hotspots with the G900 and view them on the large 2.4” display. Customize the viewing experience by using the stylus or the finger to zoom in or pan around the page.

Alternatively, receive RSS feeds directly to the phone for the latest updates such as news and football scores.

The G900 is equipped with Exchange Active Sync and Blackberry Connect to help the user stay connected to his work by allowing him to access and synchronize his e-mail, calendar, contacts and tasks anytime, anywhere.
