1st Wi-Fi/GSM hybrid handset now in RP

Filipinos can now make calls to their loved ones abroad via the Internet and also enjoy all the features provided in the regular GSM platform with the new Seiche SPD 3380 handset, the first Wi-Fi/GSM hybrid handset from Aeonic Seiche.

Now available at Aeonic Seiche-authorized distributors, the Seiche SPD 3380 handset is the Philippines’ first mobile phone that utilizes both Voice over the Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology and the standard GSM for mobile phones.

As a VoIP phone, the Seiche SPD 3380 allows users to make calls using broadband Internet connection. It carries a standby time of 180 hours and a talk time of 160 minutes, enabling users to communicate with the world without the need of a PC for as long as they are in a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Outside a hotspot, users can use the Seiche SPD 3380 for calls, SMS or MMS using GSM and a regular SIM card.

In addition to its call and messaging functions, the phone also comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 playback, video-recording capabilities, and an SD card slot for expanded memory.

The Seiche SPD 3880 was launched in line with Aeonic Seiche’s commitment to create a digital city in Metro Manila.
