Touch-screen tech in LG Viewty

-

LG Electronics lives up to its name as a worldwide technology leader in mobile communications as it introduces the touch sensor system with LG Viewty (LG-KU990), an upgrade of its touch-screen technology that allows users to feel a slight vibration from their fingertips when using the touch-screen.

Touch-screen technology serves as an input device for delivering signals generated on the screen to the CPU of a mobile handset.

The wide screen application contributes hugely to the popularity of the handset’s multimedia function among mobile phone users.

“LG has always been about enhancing the mobile phone experience of users. With LG Viewty’s touch-sensor system, users can finally enjoy the ease and convenience of touch screen technology in their mobile phones,” said Jeff Hong, chief executive officer of LG Electronics Phils.

LG has always been at the forefront of mobile communications innovation. In 2005, it introduced the touch keypad concept with LG Chocolate, which has so far sold over 14 million, becoming one of the most successful products introduced by LG Mobile.

It then introduced the touch-screen technology with the Prada phone by LG launched in March this year, which was not only heralded the most luxurious phone in the market but also the most innovative in terms of the design-enabling technology of touch-screen.

LG Viewty, a new 5.0-megapixel digital camera phone by LG Mobile, is complete with the most advanced touch-screen technology, including a much-sensitive touch-screen, which allows it to activate not only with fingertips but in circumstances such as when wearing gloves.

LG Viewty will be launched in the Philippines in January next year.
