Innove takes part in Gawad Kalinga

Innove Communications, Globe Telecom’s wholly owned subsidiary, is proud to be part of the Gawad Kalinga program to build decent homes and establish sustainable communities for less privileged Filipinos.

More than a hundred employees of Innove recently volunteered to construct houses at the Globe-TM Gawad Kalinga Village in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.

Through volunteer work, Globe and Innove have completed their commitment they made in October, having built 50 houses in this village to date. The construction of 12 more houses is ongoing.

Gawad Kalinga, which strives to improve quality of life in poverty-stricken areas, considers Bagong Silang as the biggest relocation community in the country for the less privileged with more than half a million residents living in a single barangay.

Gathering together on a Saturday, employees of Innove’s Enterprise Business Group, Consumer Broadband Group, Small and Medium Enterprises Group and Office of the CEO put in eight hours of their time to do volunteer work, giving their share of bringing about improvements and transformations in Bagong Silang.

Innove actively advocates community involvement and participation in socio-civic efforts among its employees, one of which is its Gawad Kalinga Heroes Build.

It rallies its people to give one day to help construct homes for the residents of Bagong Silang and boost the change that is being started here.

Supporting corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs such as Gawad Kalinga, aside from initiating its own CSR projects, is one way for Innove to give back to the community.

It encourages its people to take part in CSR activities, and in the process, strengthen the company’s values of work-life balance and teamwork.
