Nokia E61 rated best new converged device

-
The Nokia E61 came out on top by a wide margin after a study was recently released on the converged enterprise space made by the Strategy Analytics’ Advanced Wireless Laboratory.

"The Nokia E61 is rated the best new converged device," according to Strategy Analytics’ latest user benchmarking in London.

The Nokia E61 received higher user ratings for both usability and style and design.

Strategy Analytics is an independent employee-owned international research and consulting firm. With over 30 years experience and a focus on strategic and technology issues facing hi-tech companies and organizations, it provides strategic and tactical support for business planners around the world.

The Nokia E61 was evaluated by the Strategy Analytics end-user panel and was judged on built-in applications, user interface, input, display, style, and design.

It received high marks due to its ease of accessing e-mail feature, user-friendly interface, bright and colorful display, and overall mobile phone design.

The Nokia E61 is designed in the familiar style of today’s most popular mobile e-mail devices. Yet it is incredibly slim and packed with powerful new functionality.

A cinch to use with either hand, the device has a four-way joystick and full keyboard combined with a wide 16-million color screen, making mobile e-mail easier than ever before.

Supporting multiple mobile e-mail clients like Intellisync Wireless Email, BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink, Seven Mobile Mail, Seven Always-On Mail, and Visto Mobile, the Nokia E61 provides seamless and encrypted mobile connectivity.

Full attachment handling (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF viewer and ZIP manager) and an editing function (document, spreadsheet and presentation) are included.

The Nokia E61 can send and receive e-mails, even when on a phone call. It operates in GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA2100 networks.

The business-optimized Nokia E61 is the first in the industry to support remote device management based on OMA DM, giving the IT manager powerful tools to remotely control and protect corporate data on the device and configure devices via device wipe, device lock or task management, and application management and customization.

Nokia’s well-established competence in network security addresses strict corporate requirements covering information stored on devices, back-office systems and transmitted over networks.
