Alcatel has launched its latest multimedia mobile phone, the OT-T710, which is distributed in the Philippines by Versatile Telecoms International Inc.
With a body size of 5 x 9.5 cm, the phone is small enough to fit right inside a pocket or a small purse. Making up for the phones tiny size is its TFT touch screen, which almost fills up the entire front panel of the phone.
The bottom half of the screen is covered by a retractable flip keypad. There are also easily accessible side keys for easier manipulation of the volume, end call, and camera.
The phone comes in two color variants silver and white. The silver trimmings blend well with the black body color for a sleek and elegant finish. The white and black color combination gives the phone a preppy, casual look.
The OT-T710 has several messaging options. One can create SMS messages via the alphanumeric keypad or through the use of the stylus, or may opt to use the QWERTY keyboard or write as he would normally do on a notebook as the phone can recognize Latin and Chinese handwriting. It also has the capacity for predictive text input for both English words and Chinese characters.
To shoot photos and videos, the OT-T710 is equipped with a two-megapixel digital camera with optional flash. Poor lighting conditions would not hinder one from taking good photos as the phone has both built-in flash and night mode function.
It is fun to play with the camera phone because it has many user options. Image color varies from sepia and black and white to cold, warm, fog, moonlight and inverse. One can also adjust the image size and brightness. The phone can also take photos in nine consecutive shots or with a five-second delay.
The OT-T710 supports a Micro SD memory card so one can stock up on his music and video clips, which can be played through the built-in media player. Listen to the latest hits while tuning in to favorite FM radio stations or create ones own audio files with the recorder.
The phone has other tools such as the biorhythm submenu, which allows the user to identify which day of the month he is at his intellectual, emotional, and physical best.
The journal with alarm is ideal for organizing those multiple tasks and appointments while the notepad can be used for that quick scribble.
The OT-710 is available at telecom shops nationwide at a suggested retail price of P12,300. For inquiries, call Versatile Telecoms customer service at (02) 400-0336.
