Philips bridges art, innovation in new phones

-
Philips, Europe’s number one consumer electronics brand, has once again succeeded in making art forms out of mobile phones that encourage personal style and individuality.

First off is the Philips 760. Dubbed the "camera" that also happens to be a phone, it has a 1.3-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, allowing for perfect digital photographs which can be viewed on its crystal-clear 65K TFT display screen.

A swiveling hinge that can turn up to 180 degrees is a cool bonus, allowing for even greater shooting options. For added fun and excitement, users can digitally manipulate their photos through the phones’ built-in enhanced photo toolbox system.

Scenery too dark? No problem. The Philips 760 also has a torch for illuminating scenes and subjects taken at night or in darkness. What’s more, its high-memory capacity lets users store up to 70 photos at a time, and view them through its unique slideshow feature.

The Philips 760 also comes with a Picture Talk function that lets users add voices to their pictures. Add all that to the Philips 760’s talk time capability of up to four hours and 40 minutes and standby time of up to 560 hours.

The Philips 960, on the other hand, is for the highly mobile music enthusiast who wants to have his music wherever, whenever.

It is the first Philips mobile phone equipped with an integrated Real Music player, allowing one to listen to both MP3s and AAC (advanced audio coding) music files.

It can store up to eight hours of continuous music and extra capacity can be added by inserting an SD/MMC memory card into the phone’s card slot. Individual songs from other media sources like PCs can be easily downloaded via USB cable, Bluetooth or WAP connection.

More than just being a portable jukebox, the phone also functions as a powerful imaging device with its integrated two-megapixel digicam and its brilliant 262K TFT LCD screen. Talk time is over four hours with standby time of up to 300 hours.

Meanwhile, the Philips 362 is a smart unit loaded with all that users want and need from a mobile phone. It has a 640 x 480 pixel integrated camera perfect for capturing precious moments and sharing them fast and easy.

The Philips 362 is capable of up to six hours talk time and up to 400 hours standby time. It has a voice command feature as well as Voice Memo.

The Philips 160 is for the consumer who requires a tough phone for the outdoors and with long talk/standby time. Rugged and built to last with an attractive rubber finish for comfortable handling and a dustproof keypad, it offers over six hours of talk time and 17 days standby. Navigation is easy as the icon-based, intuitive menu is shown on the large 101x80-pixel display.

Lastly, there’s the Philips Xenium 9@9i, whch is perfect for those who want a powerful phone that would keep them constantly connected and take care of business.

Like a mini-secretary on the go, the Philips 9@9i will help users more than manage their busy schedules. Ever ready with standby time that could last for a month and talk time that lasts up to 8.5 hours, it can accommodate over a thousand name entries with up to five numbers each.

It has a voice reminder to keep users informed of their appointments and a 30-minute voice recording capacity.

Of course, it comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera with progressive digital zoom of up to 4x normal for capturing fleeting moments.
