Alcatel makes RP comeback with OT 757

European telecoms brand Alcatel makes a strong and dynamic comeback in the Philippine market with the introduction of the new OT 757 handset.

Taking into consi-deration the Filipinos’ penchant for value for money, Alcatel has developed a handset that carries all the features of the latest Finnish and Swedish models such as multi-media, MMS and PDA functions but is priced much less.

Backed by the manufacturing and multimedia strengths of leading LCD and audio-video maker TCL of China, the OT 757 is expected to re-establish Alcatel as a leading player in the mobile phone industry.

The new Alcatel OT 757 is a sleek candy bar-type model which has a 262k color application; 128 x 160 pixel LCD TFT screen; 8x camera zoom; video recording; image and video viewers supporting JPG, GIF, aGIF, BMP, WBMP 3GP and MP4 formats; audio player supporting MP3, MIDI, SP-MIDI, i-Melody, AMR and PCM; Internet access via GPRS (Class 10) or WAP 2.0; and PC synchronization via Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes and Lotus Organizer.

The OT 757’s PC Suite allows users to create their own video or audio files that can be used with the pioneering video caller line identifi-cation. This means that you can record or download video and/or audio files and attach them to a name in your phone-book; the video then plays each time this person calls you.

Alcatel is positioning itself as the mobile phone provider which offers feature-laden phones at very affordable prices which ordinary Filipinos can afford. The OT 757, for instance, is well below the P9,000 price range and carries a one-year warranty.
