Motorola packs a punch with new handsets

-
Motorola Inc., a US-based global leader in wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies, has unveiled three pioneering mobile handsets in its bid to become number two in the Philippine wireless market.

The only phones of their kind in the market, Motorola’s latest offerings merge beauty and technology as they revolutionize the mobile phone experience.

Motorola’s new RAZR V3 is just 53 millimeters thin and can rival the width of an average credit card. Although one of the slimmest phones in the market, it is still rich in functions, performance excellence and design innovation.

The RAZR V3 is built with a 2.2-inch TFT main display, VGA camera, and quad-band technology that allows you to get connected to over 100 countries.

It provides the user with a total sensory experience – from the innovative metallic finish and use of materials to a truly revolutionary, chemically etched keypad created from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy.

The Motorola MPx, on the other hand, is a true real-time assistant – at work, on the road, at home or at play – as it ingeniously blends the best of the mobile phone, personal data assistant (PDA) and e-mail messenger in one easy-to-use compact device.

With its patented dual-hinge design, it can be opened lengthwise as a clamshell phone and in landscape mode as an e-mail device. For globe-trotters and driven professionals, sending e-mails can be effortless with its wide screen, full Qwerty or a standard layout of letters on text keyboards and touch-sensitive screen for smooth operations. It also has infrared support for effortless data exchange.

The tri-band GSM/GRPS Motorola MPx functions like a pocket PC with advanced features such as a built-in Wi-Fi. It supports business applications like Microsoft Outlook e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel, and accomplishes its advanced functions with a familiar, easy-to-navigate interface like the one you’re used to on your Windows office desktop.

The MPx also boasts of one gigabyte of expandable memory storage, leveraging the device’s ability to download Microsoft Pocket PC and Java applications, games and photos.

Meanwhile, another perfect solution for bringing the office on the road in more modest terms is the Motorola MPx220, which harnesses the power of a desktop and the "pocketability" of a mobile phone.

Also built with Windows Mobile software, this unit ensures productivity as users get instant access to e-mail, advanced Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), global quad-band performance and speaker phone that allows hands-free conversations.

The Motorola MPx220 gives users a new way to send messages that contain more than just words. Whether you are facilitating a business deal overseas or just wishing a friend "happy birthday" while at a company function, take a photo of yourself, attach a personalized voice note and send.

And with photo caller ID, downloading capabilities for games, musical ringtones and more, the Motorola MPx220 promises that business executives can have fun too.

Both the Motorola MPx and MPx220 have advanced camera capabilities and Bluetooth wireless technology.

All these trend-setting phone models will be available in the last quarter of this year.
