Siemens mobile once again marks its place in the camera phone market with the recent introduction of the Siemens ST60, an 87-gram little fellow packed with features that would definitely take MMS to greater heights.
Admit it or not, mobile phones will continue to evolve into a technology thats more than just for communications. Camera phones, for instance, will still flourish the same way that Siemens mobile will go on investing in the technology and literally "capture" the market.
"Without a doubt camera phones are here to stay," said Clare Alvarez, marketing manager of Siemens Mobile Philippines.
"Siemens mobile would like to take advantage of this and come up with camera phones that capture pictures the way it should look like without spending an arm and a leg for it," she said.
This is exactly what the Siemens ST60 is all about. Light at 87 grams with sleek lines and lustrous metallic finish, it captures and sends video, with a built-in 4x zoom digital camera and a brilliant 65,000 color display for those who want to communicate not only their messages but their photos and videos right there and then via MMS.
Besides fun taking pictures during the day, special moments at night are also captured the way it should with ST60s night-effect feature.
Small as it is, the Siemens ST60 is rich in features that can be easily personalized to make the phone truly ones own.
A music lover? Then compose your own unique 50-tone sounds via the ST60s composer feature. If thats not enough, then access more downloadable tones via the phones WAP 2.0 and GPRS capabilities.
Java-based strategy and action games like Tetris wont leave you bored either, and theres more from where it came from by simply logging on to www.my-siemens.com/city.
The Siemens ST60 likewise hosts a compelling range of "life management" tools, including e-mail, address book, organizer with reminder functions, currency converter and calculator, among others.
All these are pretty much easy to use, especially with the five-way joystick navigator sitting conveniently at the center of the phone.
Optional accessories that would perk up the ST60 includes a headset, serial data cable and Li-ion batteries.
