Collect mobile texting, anyone?

Globe Handyphone pioneers another mobile phone application with the new Text Collect service.
This service enables all Globe prepaid subscribers to send SMS to others on the Globe network, whether to a plan or another prepaid subscriber, even without prepaid load credits.
Globe expects this innovation to have considerable positive implications on a public that has come to be dependent on mobile phones.
Families will especially benefit from this new mode of accessibility. All a prepaid or postpaid benefactor has to do is register a maximum of five dependents in the service, which will allow them to text him or her collect when they run out of prepaid load credits.
Globe prides itself of understanding its markets need for connectivity and accessibility, thus it introduced the commercially successful AutoLoadMAX over-the-air reloading scheme, and the Share-a-Load service which allows Globe plan and prepaid subscribers to send prepaid credits.
These innovative applications have spurred Globes strengths on both the prepaid and postpaid fronts. The Text Collect service is expected to further boost Globes success this year.
"Our subscribers need not worry about not being able to text when they run out of load. This is especially important during emergency situations," said Matthew Carreon, product manager for postpaid marketing.
Globe plan or prepaid subscribers can easily avail themselves of the service by first registering a maximum of five Globe Handyphone numbers they want to enroll on their text collect list.
Just type ADD <space> <Globe Handyphone numbers they want to register> (ex: ADD 09176660353, 09164202070) and send to 2911. The enrollee and the registered Globe Handyphone number will both receive an SMS message confirming the successful registration.
Enrolled prepaid subscribers can text collect by just keying in <Texted partys Globe Handyphone number> <space> (ex: 09175002500 Please call me) then send it to 2911.
If the message is not received by the party being "texted" because the service is turned off, does not have sufficient load or is temporarily disconnected, the sending party will be notified via SMS that the transaction failed.
Registering, adding, deleting, changing members on the Text Collect list, checking the number of transactions and turning the service on/off cost only P2.50 for both postpaid and prepaid, while the actual Text Collect service costs P1.
