Globe gets license for load app

-
Globe Telecom has been given an exclusive license for the Share-a-Load application which it recently launched as the new peer-to-peer, variable and top-up load credit service, allowing its subscribers to transfer credits as low as P5 to other Globe Handyphone or Touch Mobile users.

Developed by Manila-based Paysetter International, the Share-a-Load application operates on processes being applied for patent by Filipino wireless application developers.

Through one of this application’s processes, numeric keywords like "5" are utilized to determine the corresponding tariff to be charged a subscriber. Thus, Globe subscribers who transfer credits via Share-a-Load are charged the specified amount and P1 as transaction charge.

Share-a-Load will be a case study at the next GSM World Congress in Cannes, France.
