‘Eastern Virtual Fax’ on

Eastern Telecom Phils. Inc. has introduced the "Eastern Virtual Fax," which allows users to receive fax messages via e-mail as it integrates e-mail and fax messaging technologies to make fax transmissions more efficient and less expensive at the same time.

"Eastern Virtual Fax works like Web-based e-mail so that subscribers can access, reply to and create fax messages anywhere they may be. There’s also an option for Eastern Virtual Fax to alert the subscriber of incoming fax messages by sending a text message (SMS) to the subscriber’s mobile phone," says Virgil Pedro, Eastern Telecom vice president for corporate sales and marketing.

"Communication services are moving toward technology integration and paperless transactions, and this is why we’ve introduced a new mode of fax communication through Virtual Fax," he adds.

The Eastern Virtual Fax also offers a Web-to-fax service, which allows users to send fax messages from their PC to any fax machine through the Eastern Virtual Fax website.

Customers who avail themselves of this feature also automatically enjoy Eastern Telecom’s competitive international, domestic and local call rates. Subscribers can also choose their own Preferred Virtual Fax Numbers at affordable rates.
