Want to check international flight schedules, just text 203

International flight schedules may now be conveniently retrieved by cellular subscribers through the widely used text messaging platform. This service was made possible with the tie-up between the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and Smart Communications Inc.

Under the memorandum of agreement, Smart and Talk N Text subscribers may now send flight schedule inquiries to 203.

Dubbed as the Smart NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) Flight Information Service, the innovation allows the subscriber to know the flight schedule of a specified flight number, search for flight numbers given an airline code, and retrieve a dictionary of airline codes.

All information that will be received by Smart and Talk N Text subscribers will originate from NAIA. Subscribers can access only flight schedules that have an estimated time of departure or arrival within the next few hours.

Smart has tied up with application developer Bidshot Wireless Services and content provider Home Cable for the delivery of the info-on-demand service.

Aside from the info-on-demand service, Smart subscribers may also send other queries, customer complaints and even report illegal activities at the airport complex through Text NAIA.

Other flight schedule inquiries may also be coursed through Smart’s Text NAIA service. Users may send their comments to a special number, 0918-918NAIA or 0918-9186242, which will be capable of sending and receiving text messages only.

To use the Smart NAIA Flight Information Service, users may type NAIA, NAIA HELP or NAIA SEARCH and send the message to 203. To know the details of a specified flight number, type NAIA FLIGHT <FLIGHT NUMBER> and send it to the access number. The other commands are NAIA SEARCH <AIRLINE CODE> for valid flight numbers of an airline; and NAIA AIRLINE to download the dictionary of airline codes.

The subscriber will be charged only P2.50 for each message successfully sent to 203.
