Sequel, Globe team up for innovative texting

Sequel Solutions Inc.’s partnership with Globe Telecom has produced some of the most innovative SMS-based promotions during the past few months that included "Coke Sarap," "Celebr8: A Globe Get Together" and "TXTciting Word of the Day."

Coke Sarap was a text-in contest where the subscriber had to send an entry containing keywords to an access number and every text that the subscriber sent guaranteed him/her a prize.

Celebr8: A Globe Together was a pioneer in combining five TV and live shows, game, poll and a raffle where subscribers got the chance to win trip packages and cars.

TXTciting Word of the Day was a text-in contest where the subscriber had to unscramble a set of letters to form a word by using the clue to form the correct answer.

Each of the project’s main purpose was high media visibility, customer loyalty and brand recall. Also, "of prime importance was fun to the consumer, timely response and accuracy of the application," said Fernando Busuego III, a director of Globe Telecom.

"And Sequel once again met that and continues to meet it," Busuego added.

As part of its continuing efforts to provide value-added services to its steadily growing subscriber base, Globe Telecom needed a seasoned solutions company that could produce high-capacity solutions on-the-go.
