Ericsson showcases Mobile Net solutions

Ericsson featured its next-generation Mobile Internet solutions at the recent "Beyond WAPPcceleration" conference in Makati City.

The symposium explored the strategic and technical success factors for the age of wireless revolution, with interesting presentations from Peter Cohan and Takeshi Natsuno.

Bluetooth technology was the focus of the technical presentation facilitated by Ericsson senior training professional John Tubonganua.

The wireless technology pioneered by the Swedish giant was also the focal point of an exhibit where a Bluetooth-enabled network environment and its applications were demonstrated.

The Ericsson R520 GPRS phone and the Communicam (a limited edition camera for a GSM phone) were among the event’s favorites.

Anders Sundquist, Ericsson chief financial officer, commented on the conference’s overall value to the Philippine developer community: "The conference was an excellent venue for wireless Web developers to network and get the needed tools. For us, Ericsson’s presence at ‘Beyond WAPPcceleration’ further reinforced the company’s commitment and leading role in the development of Mobile Internet in the country."
