MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) yesterday filed a complaint for falsification of public documents against dismissed mayor Alice Guo of Bamban, Tarlac for claiming to be a Filipino when she purchased three properties in Pangasinan.

The NBI filed the case against Guo before the Department of Justice.

NBI spokesman Ferdinand Lavin said the bureau’s Task Force Alice Guo and its Alaminos district office submitted for preliminary investigation the falsification of public documents for three deeds of sale in Sual, Pangasinan.

“In the acquisition of these properties, she said she is a Filipino citizen when she is in fact Chinese (national) Guo Hua Ping,” Lavin told reporters.

The NBI wants Guo’s properties forfeited.

Lavin said the NBI also filed cases against 13 Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. employees.

The PAGCOR employees were charged with violation of the Anti-Trafficking Act and Republic Act 3019, the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

The cases stemmed from the operation of alleged Philippine offshore gaming operator firm Zun Yuan Technology in Bamban.

“The PAGCOR employees were supposed to monitor the day-to-day activities of the POGO at the time, but they allowed the operation of scamming activities,” Lavin said.
