MANILA, Philippines— After the controversial “momo challenge” went viral, several netizens including parents and guardians expressed fear on the harmful contents posted online.

The social media challenge, later on debunked by The Atlantic as hoax, allegedly compels children to engage in dangerous tasks such as taking pills and even killing themselves.

The unverified testimonies claimed that the social media challenge features the image of “Momo,” which supposedly appear on social media platforms such as WhatsApp and YouTube.

Former PBB housemate, model and vlogger Wil Dasovich said he is not familiar of the challenge but gave tips on content creation.

“A general rule of thumb for me and what I do with content creation and vlog is as long as you're not hurting anyone including yourself then most of the time it should be okay,” Dasovich told Philstar.com during the Axe Recommends event, where he is one of the brand ambassadors.

Dasovich currently has over 1.8 million followers on YouTube. He has been creating videos for four years now.
