KasamaKa enables cooperatives to provide 'tingi' services to unbanked Filipinos
The KasamaKA CoopHub Shared Services Program aims to establish an efficient, convenient marketplace for cooperatives.

MANILA, Philippines — Cooperatives have been at the forefront of providing access to financial services in the countryside, serving as community enablers to the vast swathes of the population that are not served by banks.

Although they are well-established in the countryside, cooperatives still face challenges in reaching and serving their communities through their physical branches.

The KasamaKA CoopHub Shared Services Program dreams of an efficient, convenient marketplace where its 26,000 member cooperatives could offer financial services to farmers, fisherfolk and rural communities through digital platforms.

It is among the several initiatives under the KasamaKA national movement for financial inclusion.

KasamaKA also serves as a community income builder program, rewarding those who sign up and use the services for financial transactions.
