Two cool phones from Cherry Mobile

MANILA, Philippines - Cherry Mobile recently launched two new Alpha series devices at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain recently.

In its five years in the industry, Cherry Mobile has continued to expand its gadget lineup and market share despite international brands dominating the country. In 2014, Cherry Mobile it worked with Microsoft to introduce the Alpha series which boasted of two smartphones and two tablets – all equipped with a Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 operating systems. 

In a pursuit to expand its reach in the Asia-Pacific region and to provide its consumers high powered smartphones, the two brands launched the Alpha Neon and Alpha View. 

 Both equipped with the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and a 1.2 QuadCore processor with 1 GB of RAM – and powered by Qualcomm 8212, the power-driven devices allow users to enjoy the benefits of the Windows platform at a low cost.

The newest additions to the Alpha series are also packaged with an Adreno 302 graphics card that guarantees a 720x1280 high-definition quality display on its 5” IPS screen for the Alpha Neon, and 6” IPS screen for the Alpha View. The devices also have a 2000mAh removable battery for the Alpha Neon, and a 2600mAh removable battery for the Alpha View. 

Saving images, applications, and other media files is also made easier with the smartphones’ 8 GB storage allowance with an expandable memory of up to 64GB with a microSD.

Connectivity is guaranteed and is at par with higher priced products with its WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 features for both phones. Users of the Alpha Neon can make use of its dual SIM capabilities with the standard SIM, while the Alpha View has a dual SIM provision for both a standard and micro SIM. 

The Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon will be available in cyan, yellow, red, lime and ivory; while the Cherry Mobile Alpha View will be in both black and white.
