MANILA, Philippines - The first foray of the Primer Group of Companies, the country’s fastest rising retail and distribution company, in the IABC Philippines Quill Awards proved victorious as it took home Merit and Excellence honors for the outstanding work and projects of C.O.R.E. or the Center for Outdoor Recreation Expedition and Dispatch Magazine.

A well respected and leading business communications organization, the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines (IABC PH) mounted its flagship event this year through the 12th Philippine Quill Awards.

The Primer Group, a neophyte joiner this year, proved to be a strong contender as it bagged its first Communication Management Merit award for its Employee Engagement program entry “Building a Responsible Community, Igniting Change and Awareness.”

The Primer Group’s own publication, Dispatch Magazine, also impressed this year’s Philippine Quill judges with the surprising yet well-deserved win of Dispatch’s “Explore. Teach. Inspire” entry, which took home the Excellence Award under the Communication Skills category.

Present to receive its first Philippine Quill awards at the ceremony were Roel Chan, AVP for BDCC; Tara Valencia and Ela Arciaga of corporate communications; Kristine Villaflor and Cyril Benedicto of C.O.R.E.; Macel Abejero of PR and events, and the editorial duo of Dispatch Magazine, Upper Viceo and Bim Legisniana.

The recognitions, according to the Primer Group, will definitely inspire the company to improve and excel further in business and marketing communications — touching more lives, reaching out to more people, and sharing more good news to its partners, employees and more importantly, to its consumers and patrons.
