Vibal gives away digital classroom package at CEAP convention

MANILA, Philippines - Students and teachers of Colegio de San Agustin Makati will now get the chance to experience 21st century learning courtesy of a digital classroom package worth P1.5 million that was awarded to the school by the Vibal Group of Companies at the recent 2013 National Convention of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) in Cebu City.

The generous package given by Vibal includes 40 units of Samsung Galaxy 8.9-inch tablets, a Samsung Galaxy 10.1-inch teacher tablet, a V-Smart laptop server, an LCD projector, a V-Smart Mobile Cart, plus a teacher training seminar to orient the school’s faculty on the use of this classroom-of-the-future package.

CEAP delegates attending Vibal’s demo sessions at the Aegean and Caspian Function Rooms of Waterfront Hotel were entitled to join the raffle. During these sessions, conference delegates watched demos of Vibal’s latest education technology solution called V-Smart.

Dubbed as an offline/online, social and mobile Learning Management System (LMS), V-Smart is now emerging as an LMS of choice for schools seeking a more integrated, mobile-ready, and cost-effective education solution that offers engaging, interactive, innovative, and fun features.

Its biggest advantage is the capability to function even without expensive broadband or Internet subscriptions. This means that with V-Smart, students can enjoy e-learning inside the classroom using a configured school server and a Wi-Fi network to create an immersive and interactive digital environment.

Colegio de San Agustin Makati joins 25 other pilot V-Smart Schools around the Philippines, including Dominican College Sta. Rosa, St. Louis College San Fernando, Mary Help of Christian High School Binmaley, St. Paul College-Pasig Davao, University of San Carlos Cebu, and Xavier University Cagayan de Oro, among others.

The rollout of the V-Smart package will continue until December.
