Silaynons get free Toshiba LED TVs

MANILA, Philippines - Toshiba Information Equipment (Phils.) Inc., in partnership with the Ayala Foundation, recently turned over a total of 300 brand new 32-inch LED TVs for public elementary schools in the country through the Text2Teach project.

One of the recipients was the Adela Elementary School in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

“Toshiba believes that education is very important in nurturing the future leaders of the Philippines. I’m glad that we are part of this continuing advocacy to enhance the quality of Philippine education,” said Fumio Otani, corporate representative for Asia of Toshiba Corp. and managing director of Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

Text2Teach is an effective teaching tool that has made teaching and learning more interesting and effective. The program has helped students have higher learning gains and decreased absenteeism in public schools. It has made teaching and learning more interesting and effective.
