Asus unveils new notebook PCs
MANILA, Philippines - Asus, the world’s Top 3 consumer notebook vendor and the maker of the world’s best-selling and award-winning motherboards, unveiled its new range of feature-packed notebooks recently.
The new notebooks, which are under the X, K, N, and G series, focus on Beauty, Sound, Touch and Cloud service, all part of the core element of what Asus refers to as its “design-thinking DNA.”
At the Opus Lounge at Resorts World Manila last week, Asus country manager George Su and marketing manager Jamie Zaldivar held an extensive presentation of the new Asus notebooks and all of their mixtures of Beauty, Sound, Touch, IOIC (Instant On-Instant Connect), and Cloud.
The new Asus K Series notebooks bring a complete range of premium features to a highly affordable market segment, helping a wider user audience benefit from an attractive design and the latest technologies.
Super-thin and light, they employ an aluminum finish for a classy and durable build, bolstered by the inclusion of exclusive SonicMaster Lite audio.
New third-generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce 600 series graphics lead to smoother and faster computing, while Asus technologies such as Super Hybrid Engine II instant on, IceCool, and SuperBatt contribute to a thoughtful and satisfying user experience.
The N Series of multimedia notebooks, on the other hand, includes the N46, N56, and N76.
They utilize SonicMaster Premium audiophile-worthy sound, wide-view screens with up to full HD 1080p, and an all-new deluxe look that has already won a prestigious Red Dot 2012 design award.
Intel third-generation Core processors power the N Series, which also uses exclusive Asus Super Hybrid Engine II technology to offer two-second instant-on resume.
For power-hungry hard-core gamers, Asus unveiled the ROG G75VW and G55VW gaming notebooks — the fifth generation of the popular and powerful Republic of Gamers G Series.
Featuring Intel third-generation Core i7 processors and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M/670M GPUs with up to 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM, up to 16GB of DDR3 DRAM and support for dual hard drives in RAID 0/1, the new G Series redefines what is possible with a gaming notebook.
The dual-fan intelligent thermal mechanism ensures the system runs cooler longer. Active shutter glasses with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology on a Full HD screen, a built-in subwoofer, and Asus SonicMaster Lite audio further enhance the gaming experience.
Asus claims that “Premium Perception” is the core design concept of its notebooks this year. Each notebook is developed with two goals in mind: to be unique and elegant.
Asus notebooks feature proprietary SonicMaster sound technology co-developed with Bang&Olufsen ICEpower technology.
SonicMaster technology brings notebook audio to life, with a combination of fine-tuned software along with superior speakers and oversized resonance chambers.
SonicMaster delivers a crystal-clear yet deep sound with a richness of bass playing across a wider range to ensure the purest audio from a portable PC.
For better user experience of notebook input interface, Asus enlarged the touchpad and provided smoother multi-gesture control when scrolling, swiping, rotating, and zooming in and out.
More gesture functions are available with this new touchpad solution created by the Asus Magic Touch team.
Asus also aims to provide the best instant-on/instant-connect solution through its two-second resume capability and up to two weeks’ standby time.
Asus also provides an Instant Connect Link (IC link) feature, a solution which includes an app and a cable to share the Internet from your smartphone instantaneously.
Asus cloud service, meanwhile, provides a convenient cloud service for customers, easily storing, sharing, and syncing all data. With the MyBitCast App, users can quickly sync the notes, photos and audio recording data to various devices at once.
Selected Asus models, such as the ZenBook Prime, will come with an IPS panel with 1080p Full HD resolution. The addition of the Asus SuperBatt technology extends the overall lifespan of the battery by three times compared to regular batteries.
