Pinoy iPhone fans now have a choice

-

MANILA, Philippines - “Now, more Filipinos in more parts of the country can have the freedom to enjoy the new iPhone 4S on the better network.”

Thus said Orlando Vea, chief wireless advisor of Smart Communications Inc., during the Smart Holiday Camp Out event in Makati City last Thursday night.

Thousands of mobile subscribers anticipating the Philippine launch of “the most amazing iPhone yet” joined the telco in counting down to the Dec. 16 release date, in this exclusive party hosted at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall.

Smart shut down the entire mall from 10 p.m. of Dec. 15 until dawn the next day, treating its patrons to free food and drinks, movies, entertainment by international acts, and grand prizes that included various Apple products and a Subaru Impreza STI.

Early registrants in Smart’s online iPhone 4S sign-up page joined the event, together with some of the country’s well-known personalities and public figures to usher in Smart’s stab at marketing the iPhone locally.

Some participants lined up as early as 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 to be among the very first Pinoys to own the iPhone 4S on the Smart network.

“We are happy to enable Filipino iPhone users to make the better choice when it comes to choosing what powers their iPhones. Smart has the reach, reliability and capacity to deliver the best mobile Internet experience for iPhone 4S users,” Vea said.

iPhone 4S is now available to both Smart’s postpaid and prepaid subscribers at flexible plans or special prepaid packages.
