iAcademy appointed as first IBM Center of Excellence in Asean

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Information and Communications Technology Academy (iAcademy) was recently appointed by IBM as its first IBM Center of Excellence (CoE) in the Philippines and in the entire ASEAN region.

As a Center of Excellence, iAcademy will be used as a venue to expose existing and prospective IBM clients to current state-of-the-art technology solutions.

Furthermore, iAcademy will be the source of technical skills and talent to feed the IBM Ecosystem composed of IBM, IBM Business Partners, and IBM Clients.

“Being the first in the Philippines and in the ASEAN region simply confirms that we Filipinos are world-class,” said Vanessa Tanco-Cualoping, chief operating officer of iAcademy.

“This brings our students to another level of excellence. Not only do we prepare them with their technical skills, but they will now be exposed to a real-life business technology setup,” added Tanco-Cualoping.

For his part, iAcademy president Monico Jacob said the IBM CoE strengthens iAcademy’s commitment to bring quality education to Filipino students.

“It has been our goal to provide our students with the best education possible and the IBM CoE is just the beginning of more exciting things to come,” said Jacob.

Aside from being the first IBM CoE, iAcademy is also the first Lotus Academic Institute partner in the country and in the ASEAN region as well.
