Taking all sides of the story with the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ

-

MANILA, Philippines - As the saying goes, a story has a multitude of sides to it. But in the field of information technology, there are even more. But then Acer, one of the world’s most trusted computer manufacturers, made sure that the whole story is covered in terms of consumers’ needs and wants as it launches the new Acer Aspire 1825PTZ multi-touch tablet PC.

The Acer Aspire 1825PTZ features a convertible design and a multi-touch screen for a uniquely flexible use. Add to that an ultra-low voltage processor and you’ve got one complete netbook package that’s not only a sight to behold but packs a mean punch as well.

Flexibility in terms of viewing is offered by the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ since with its convertible design you can simply twist it to the left, then push down to become a traditional notepad when taking notes like in a meeting.

It’s also perfect as a presentation tool when presenting slide shows or showing documents to a small audience. It can also be an eBook reader where you can read a book or magazine the traditional way (minus the pages, of course), or a digital map when navigating through places.

Among its biggest features is the fact that it is the integrated multi-touch screen PC that supports finger touch and pen input.

Particularly interesting is the Acer TouchPortal, a unique software package that functions as a starting point for managing the Acer Touch gadgets and Microsoft Touch Pack applications.

Via a simple touch of the screen, it gives you the ability to manage your various photos through TouchMediaShare or launch your music player with TouchMusic.

Integrate your local or online photo content through TouchPhotoShow or communicate with friends almost instantly by auto-integrating your friends’ list from your social networking accounts with TouchFriends. All these with just a touch.

Inside the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ are an Intel Pentium processor SU4100 (1.3GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB) processor and a Mobile Intel GS45 Express Chipset that make it formidable.

Coupled with a 2GB DDR3 memory, an Intel GMA 4500 MHD with up to 1759MB of Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0 for graphics power and 64MB (dedicated) with up to 1695MB (shared) system memory, this digital dynamo is a sure bet against the competition.

The display screen also provides inspiring viewing pleasure, with a 11.6-inch high-definition, high brightness LED-backlit TFT LCD screen that makes watching movies, playing games or viewing photos less straining to the eye, even in low-light conditions. And with a 320GB SATA hard drive, storage would not be a troublesome issue.

Since the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ uses Intel’s ultra-low voltage processor, free yourself from an electrical outlet as well since the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ’s battery lasts for up to eight hours on a full charge.
