Benchmark leads way in training coaches

MANILA, Philippines - There is a growing need for professionally trained and credentialed coaches as more people experience the power of coaching. 

In the first worldwide survey conducted by the International Coach Federation (ICF), the leading global organization for coaches, over 2,000 coaching clients from 64 countries attested to have gained a solid return on investment and positive changes in both individual and organizational goal areas as a result of partnering with a professional coach.

Moreover, the study revealed that respondents greatly emphasize on the coach-specific training, credentials and certification of a coach because they recognize the significant role coaches play in helping them achieve their highest goals and potentials.

However, there are very few formally trained and certified coaches in the country. Perhaps one of the reasons that hindered hopeful coaches was the expensive cost of education, training and accreditation previously available only in countries like the US.

This course harps on internalizing and mastering the ICF core competencies and code of ethics as well as embracing coaching as a way of life.  

ACTP has three phases. The first is a five-day intensive workshop designed to provide understanding about the principles, skills and approaches used within today’s coaching profession.

It also elaborates on human behavior and needs, coaching and the Filipino culture, personal effectiveness, managing emotions, achieving work-life integration and other insightful topics. 

The second phase jumpstarts participants’ coaching practice with actual interface with a coaching client (coachee). During the process, participants also go through one-on-one coaching and mentoring with Benchmark.

This training and practicum runs three months, giving participants ample opportunity to build and develop aptitude in bringing out the innermost potential of everyone they coach. 

The last phase is a two-day workshop to hardwire their learning and translate their know-how into competence.
