MANILA, Philippines - Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp., through its audio-visual (AV) department, has introduced the widest range of efficient and environmentally friendly flat panel television products under the “Viera” (or Visual Era) series.
Developed and powered by Panasonic’s state-of-the-art LCD and plasma television digital audio-video technology, the Viera series offers exceptional picture quality, smart networking (Viera Image Viewer and Viera Link), and fashionably stylish design that compliment the modern Filipino lifestyle.
The Viera S, A, X and C series melds different design and unique visual experiences with their sleek, personally designed features primarily developed to pay tribute to Panasonic’s sophisticated and value-conscious consumer market.
The Viera series brings with it a collection of next-generation technology like the IPS Alpha panel that delivers exceptionally high-quality motion images with high contrast ratio and superb color expression.
In terms of picture quality, the Viera Plasma series prides itself with a 600HZ sub field drive technology for superb full-HD motion and still images with a 1080 resolution.
Promising greater picture clarity, Panasonic also developed a supporting technology that intelligently analyzes broadcast images by frame to ensure high picture quality regardless of broadcast transmission quality.
Also, Viera’s Real Black Drive System perfectly manages black images as if you are watching a full-length digital film.
For color transmission, the Viera plasma guarantees the closest thing to digital cinema color. Abiding by the basic Deep Color standard, Viera TVs are then able to broadcast the natural colors of a projected image but in high-quality sources.
High-definition video resolution for Viera LCDs is at an 800-line resolution and a 50Hz video signal output, enhanced digital television features that increase video frame count, thus allowing for a natural frame-to-frame transition, perfect for live sports events.
And its 178-degree viewing angle ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlight’s wide transmission aperture of the LCD is what enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion image response. An adjustable active color enhancer also renders the images with greater clarity.
This optimizes the amount of adjustment for each scene, making it possible to create sharper, clearer images with minimal noise. It comes with a color matrix arrangement feature that corrects broadcast image colors without causing color deterioration. The LCD’s panel reflection has been reduced to half those of conventional panels, to sharpen images and reduce glare.
For smart networking purposes, the Panasonic Viera series has the Viera Link feature that links any Viera TV via HMDI cable with most digital devices like the Blu-Ray disc player, camcorder or home theater using a single interface remote control.
The Viera TVs also support a wide range of multi-media operating systems like SDHC, AVCHD, and Full HD, making it possible to view HD stills and video recordings from external sources, and come with a user-friendly Secure Digital (SD) card slot to project digital images in high definition format.
All Viera Plasma display panels are also certified mercury- and lead-free to reduce the impact on the environment when recycling or disposing of the product.
Panasonic’s TVs can also be used for a lifespan of more than 100,000 hours, or over 30 years of continuous usage even at half-brightness.
The Viera’s Eco Mode also contributes by adjusting the brightness level depending on the lighting environment, thus using less power but without any effect on image quality.
