Epson introduces new home, business printers

-

MANILA, Philippines - Epson, one of the world’s leading digital imaging and printing solutions company, announced recently a new line of multifunction printers for small and home offices, students and corporate users.

The new line was unveiled recently at the Manila Ocean Park where sample printouts were dipped in the shark aquarium in a test of the capabilities of Epson’s DURABrite inks that are available in this new line of printers.

Epson DURABrite ink is made from insoluble particles of resin-coated pigment. When printed, the ink is evenly distributed and the resin-coated pigments give a perfect reflection that allows water-resistance even on plain paper, protecting your cherished photos and important documents from accidental spills and moisture.

Even in harsh environmental conditions, genuine Epson pigment-based ink prints will not deteriorate, and are highly resistant to smudges to ensure that the quality of printouts is not compromised.

“Unbeatable value is what Epson delivers with these new printers, along with the delivery of world-class printing quality that provides superior image, longer print life and greater reliability,” said Eduardo Bonoan, Epson Philippines’ senior general manager and division head for sales and marketing.

“In today’s environment, it is even more important that the equipment homes and businesses invest in should not compromise on quality, while saving time, space and resources,” Bonoan added.

Epson raises the bar in the entry-level all-in-one printer class with the launch of its lowest priced all-in-one printer model, the Epson Stylus TX110, which features Epson’s INKdividual cartridge system. With this system, users only need to replace the color that has run out instead of changing the full set of inks, minimizing wastage and maximizing cost savings.

Also available for the TX110 is the 91N series of economy Epson INKdividual cartridges that are priced lower than the standard cartridges to help users who print in low volumes save on upfront costs.

The P3,795 TX110 features a proprietary Epson Micro Piezo print head with Variable-Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) that achieves a class-leading maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi for extremely smooth image gradations for both grayscale or color documents and photos.

The TX110 also helps users save time with its speedy printing capability of up to 30 pages per minute (ppm) and a minimum copy speed of three seconds per page.

The Stylus TX210, meanwhile, is Epson’s mid-range all-in-one printer. It’s designed to provide home and small business users with durable, high-quality prints with user-friendly LCD and button controls as well as memory card slots for direct photo printing.

The TX210 offers printing, copying, scanning functionalities in a compact unit, in addition to user-friendly features such as direct access buttons for immediate copying, photo printing and scanning to PC/PDF/email.

The TX210 also has memory card slots while a 1.5-inch LCD provides visual indications of operations as well as previews of photos to be printed. The TX210 has a rapid print speed of 32 ppm.

It also features Epson’s Micro Piezo print head with VSDT that achieves a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi for extremely smooth image gradations. Working in tandem with this technology is the printer’s four Epson DURABrite pigment inks. Together, these provide users with sharp black text as well as vibrant photos that are long-lasting, smudge-, fade-, and water-resistant. The P5,495 Stylus TX210 also uses Epson’s INKdividual cartridge system.

The new Stylus TX550W is Epson’s wireless all-in-one printer, giving home and small business users even more printing options and the convenience of wireless network printing.

The TX550W provides users with color printing, copying, and scanning functionality in one compact unit. Its wireless networking capability allows it to be shared among multiple users.

User-friendly features include access buttons for immediate copying, photo printing and scanning to PC/PDF/e-mail.

The TX550W also has memory card slots for users to directly print photos from, while a large 2.5-inch LCD displays visual indications of operations as well as preview photos to be printed. The TX550W has a class-leading print speed of 36 ppm.

It also boasts a Micro Piezo print head with VSDT that achieves a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi, DURABrite pigment inks, and four separate Epson INKdividual cartridges.

Also available for the Stylus TX550W is the 103 series of high-capacity Epson INKdividual cartridges that deliver a higher page yield and lower cost per page compared to the standard cartridges.

The Epson Stylus TX550W also comes bundled with the Epson Creativity Suite, a selection of easy-to-use photo editing software. This suite includes Epson Claria PhotoEnhance that enables users to edit their photos by adjusting exposure levels, skin tones, and color casts for that perfect picture; Epson Portrait Enhance that gives portraits a natural-looking glow; and Red Eye Correction that eliminates the red eye effect in photos with a simple mouse click.

The Epson Stylus TX550W will be available starting September.

Last but not least is the new Epson Stylus Photo T60, a compact photo printer priced below P10,000 to feature six photographic inks to achieve a class-leading color range. The T60 also has the one of the highest print resolutions and fastest photo print speeds in this price class with a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi and ability to print a 4R (4 x 6 inches) photo in only 12 seconds.

The T60 also features a Micro Piezo print head with VSDT, a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi and a 1.5 picoliter minimum ink droplet size. In addition, the T60’s six inks are contained in INKdividual cartridges.

The P9,695 T60 even allows users to print directly on the surface of printable CDs or DVDs, saving them time and the hassle of printing adhesive disc labels. It also comes bundled with the Epson Creativity Suite similar to the TX550W’s. – Manny de los Reyes
