Convergys ranks 6th in Global Outsourcing 100

MANILA, Philippines - Convergys Corp., a global leader in relationship management, has announced it has been named to the Top 10 of the 2009 Global Outsourcing 100 List, ranking sixth overall.

The prestigious list, compiled by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), is an annual ranking of the world’s best outsourcing service providers.

The IAOP also named Convergys to a number of key sub-lists, including Best 20 Leaders by Industry Focus in Telecommunications; Best 20 Leaders by Service Offered in Customer Relationship Management; Best 10 Leaders by Service Offered: Human Resources; Top 10 List Climbers: For significant upward movement on Top 100 list; Best 20 Leaders by Region Served in the US; Best 20 Leaders by Region Served: Western Europe; and Best 20 Companies by Region Served: Southeast Asia. 

The IAOP based its ranking of Convergys on multiple criteria, including its customer experience as demonstrated through the value created by the company’s top customers, and the depth and breadth of competencies as demonstrated through industry recognition, relevant certifications, and investment in the development of people, processes, and technologies. 

Management capabilities were also considered, as reflected in the experience and accomplishments of the business’ top leaders and investments in management systems that ensure outsourcing success.

“Our ranking highlights our experience, expertise, and unrivalled track record in business process outsourcing, which stretches back over 30 years and includes over three billion customer and employee contacts annually,” he added.

Recently, Convergys was named the Top Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) Performer by Global Services Magazine, as part of the publication’s annual Global Services 100 ranking. 

Convergys was also cited as a top two contact center service provider and top five BPO service provider by Global Services, which provides information on the global sourcing of IT and BPO services to corporate professionals engaged in the sourcing and management of business and technology services.
