IP-Converge becomes official RP reseller of NeuStar UltraDNS, Webmetrics services

MANILA, Philippines - IP-Converge Data Center Inc., the information technology and telecommunications division of publicly-listed IPVG Corp., has announced that it has signed a memorandum of agreement with NeuStar to be an official reseller of NeuStar UltraDNS Services in the Philippines.

NeuStar provides solutions to organizations that rely on DNS for their critical business processes, applications and services, delivering superior security, reliability and performance.

IP-Converge will add NeuStar’s UltraDNS suite and Webmetrics service to its current menu of service offerings, helping customers enhance their business through improved Internet performance and security.

Using NeuStar’s technology and services, enterprises will be able to seamlessly migrate their entire DNS infrastructure without any additional hardware or software deployments.

“We strive to offer the best services and set performance standards for Internet operations in the region by ensuring high availability and reliability of our customers’ Web-based applications,” said Herns Hermida, IP-Converge assistant vice president for product development.

“This relationship allows our customers to leverage NeuStar’s global UltraDNS network, which reduces the distance DNS requests and responses have to travel across the Internet. Ultimately, this will result in a better user experience for customers accessing their websites of choice,” Hermida said.

“Each time a URL is entered, the domain name server searches the Web for its corresponding IP address,” added Hermida. “Without an efficient service that will direct and manage the request, it will go from one domain name server to another until the correct IP address is returned. With the millions of IP addresses in the Internet, UltraDNS bypasses this cumbersome process.”

Moreover, UltraDNS will balance loads, manage traffic to customers’ networks, and back up sites to ensure quick responses to DNS requests even in the event of a disaster.
