MediaScape launches Cignal Digital TV service

A more affordable direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV service is now available to serve households in un-cabled and underserved areas in the country.

MediaScape, a wholly owned subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings Inc., recently launched Cignal Digital TV, enabling prospective viewers in un-cabled areas to have crystal-clear, digital TV viewing experience.

By bringing new technologies and compelling content right into their homes, we aim to enrich the way this market consumes information and entertainment, wherever they are in the Philippines,” said Benjie Fernandez, MediaScape managing director.

Cignal Digital TV will initially offer 20 channels, all of which are among the most-watched channels in the country.

Cignal subscribers will have crystal-clear access to free-to-air channels ABS-CBN 2, TV5, NBN 4, GMA, CS9, QTV, IBC 13, Studio 23, 2nd Avenue, ETC, and NET 25, and high-rating premium channels HBO, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, CNN, PBO, Viva Cinema, AXN, BIO, and RHTV (dzRH Television).

Audio channels from the FM band will also be available to Cignal Digital TV subscribers, such as 90.7 Love Radio, 101.1 Yes! FM, Magic 89.9, 92.3 XFM, 99.5 RT, NU 107, GVFM 99.1, and AM radio dzRH.

Subscribing to Cignal Digital TV costs a one-time cash-out of P5,500, inclusive of the installation fee and the hardware such as the dish antenna, remote control, and the set top box. Special discounts will be given to subscribers who will sign up before Feb. 28.

The monthly subscription fee for Cignal Digital TV is available through both postpaid and prepaid, at P390 per month.

Cignal’s prepaid electronic loading system is powered by the award-winning prepaid loading platform of Smart Communications Inc., making it convenient for subscribers to continuously enjoy Cignal’s services via over-the-air loading.
