Mobile connectivity with Acer's Aspire One

-

Mobile connectivity, portability, versatility, and ease of use - qualities longed for by almost any laptop computer user today. And these are provided by Acer, one of the world’s trusted computer manufacturers, through its newest and most inspiring product to date, the Aspire One.

With most people able to work independently even outside the office where they think they will be most productive and creative, the Aspire One is a perfect companion that would guarantee continuous work productivity while maintaining seamless Internet connection for a total mobile connectivity experience.

These days, work is not confined anymore to the office. Sometimes, the creative juices of individuals are more harnessed in atypical or unconventional surroundings like coffee shops and even public parks, primarily with the advent of powerful telecommunications infrastructure. And with a new standard in personal computing called “Ultra Mobile PCs,” Acer’s Aspire One fits in perfectly.

Firstly, the Aspire One is not difficult to carry. Imagine a laptop with a weight of less than a kilo and reduced size (249 x 170 x 29 mm); you could just snug it inside a bag.

For those who simply want to surf the Internet and have fun with family or friends real-time, a 300k-resolution integrated camera provides the perfect link for catching up with lost time and reminiscing.

Have big fingers and yet you need to type long reports or text-heavy files? Definitely not a problem since the Aspire One totes a full-sized keyboard for worry-less typing. And even if you have less-than-desirable vision, viewing files despite its reduced LCD size (8.9 inches) would not be burdensome because it provides perfect visual clarity even in the most difficult of viewing angles.

But despite the undersized dimensions of the Aspire One, Acer did not penny-pinch on its features, starting with the processor platform. Intel, the world’s biggest processor manufacturer, powers this revolutionary device with the Intel Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz, 533MHz FSB, 512KB L2 cache), together with a Mobile Intel 945 GSE chipset.

Storage capability was also provided for via an 8GB Solid State Disc (SSD) with expansion capability using an extension SD card, for more storage space of up to 80GB. For those users who require bigger space for their hard drives, the Aspire One answers this with 120GB and 160GB versions — a welcome treat especially for telecommuters who need to have more space in their laptop yet remain light enough for them to carry anywhere.

The Acer Aspire One also comes in various colors to fit one’s preference and style: seashell white, sapphire blue, golden brown and coral pink.
