-

XCEL Software Solutions Philippines Inc., an authorized SAP channel partner for Business One, showcased its solutions and offerings during the recently concluded SAP Summit 08.

XCEL Software Solutions, the Philippine unit of New Jersey-based XCEL Solutions Corp. is the newest IT enterprise to be given accreditation by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) for its effort to tap Filipino IT professionals to run its Philippine company.

Ronald Ferrer, XCEL director for Philippine operations, said the company, which started operating in September 2007, has shown accelerated growth in terms of client base, revenue and profit as of June 2008.

“We are expecting to surpass our PEZA commitment. XCEL Philippines has been hiring experienced professionals to support its growth and expand its operations in multi-fold,” he added.

To date, XCEL Philippines has signed up a significant number of customers from various industries such as petroleum, pharmaceutical, food, manufacturing, automotive, trading, and manpower, and is targeting to double its customers by the end of December.

Consequently, it expects to hire more IT Filipino professionals to run its Ortigas Center.

XCEL is dedicated to research and development activities in creating new solutions for various industries.

During the summit, it presented a vertical solution for the automobile industry that will integrate suppliers with manufacturers.

It is dedicated to help small-medium enterprises increase their bottom line by enabling them with the latest and best technologies.

Xcel Solutions Corp. (US) president Jit Goel said they are gearing up their three subsidiary companies in the US, Philippines, and Mexico in maximizing the group’s potential and resources in providing value-added and quality services in custom software development, research and development and software consulting in their major markets in the US, Asia-Pacific (Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, etc.), Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, etc.), and Europe.

Goel said Xcel USA is grateful for the “IT enterprise” status extended by the Philippine government through the PEZA, to its Philippine unit, XCEL Software Solutions.  “I made the right decision to put up a subsidiary in the Philippines. And by partnering with SAP, we are also promoting SME business growth through the SAP Business One Software,” he said.
