Turn your camera phone into code reader

You usually use your camera phone to take photos, but now, you can do more than that and have a chance to win loads of cash at the same time. Smart subscribers can now decode and turn their camera phones into barcode readers.

Four aliens need to be found. Billboards have been strategically put up along Edsa Guadalupe, Quiapo and Quirino. Each of these billboards has an alien with a unique 2D barcode.

These alien barcodes have to be scanned using the Upcode application. With Nescafé 3in1, downloading of this application is free, fast and easy.

Smart subscribers can now enjoy and participate in this promo. The steps are quite easy to follow.

First, text NESCAFE 3in1 to 2861 to receive a clickable link to download the Upcode application and the mechanics and instructions to get you started.

Upon receipt, download the Upcode application for free. Just open the text message with the link to the application and click on it. Don’t forget to turn on the MMS settings to be able to download and use the application (Text Set <handset model> to 211 ex. Set N80 to 211).

Register for free by texting NESCAFE 3in1 REG <Name, Age, Gender, City> to 2861. Remember, you have to register first before you can successfully scan the alien codes.

When you see the alien images, open your camera and look for the Upcode application in your mobile phone’s files.

Then open the Upcode application and scan the code with your camera. The Upcode application acts like a camera and code reader so point your camera phone at the alien code and make sure the code is within the camera borders seen on the screen of the phone.

If you scanned the code successfully, you will receive an SMS prompt. Click SEND to receive the clue to the next alien.

Then solve the clue to find out where your next destination is. The codes have to be scanned in order based on the text clues received.

Make sure to complete and decode all four aliens for a chance to be one of three winners of P31,313.
