To increase the competitiveness of small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the Philippines, Oracle has teamed up with local partners to launch Accelerate, a portfolio of industry-specific application solutions designed, packaged and priced specifically for these enterprises.
Oracle’s Accelerate program was designed to meet the diverse IT requirements of SMBs by combining partner expertise with the industry’s most comprehensive software portfolio.
Under the Accelerate program, Oracle applications  including the Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Siebel  are combined with rapid implementation methodologies such as Oracle Business Accelerators to deliver efficient deployments, faster ROI and reduced risk for SMBs.
Oracle Accelerate provides SMBs with highly scalable, integrated solutions for managing key business operations such as the management of finance and accounting, human resources, supply chain and customer relationships.
Since Oracle applications are based on open standards and are designed to run on Oracle database, they provide a superior alternative to other proprietary business systems for SMBs by reducing complexity and cost of ownership.
Businesses are able to build flexible and adaptable IT infrastructure, which enables SMBs to respond quickly to new business opportunities, customer demands and changes in operating conditions.
"SMBs typically operate in lean environments with limited resources and IT personnel. Our aim with Accelerate is to enable SMBs to focus on business needs rather than managing IT systems. The combination of Oracle’s expertise with SMBs and the industry experience of our partners enables us to deliver affordable solutions that address the requirements of SMB customers," said Steve McNulty, GM for Enterprise Applications Solutions of Oracle Corp.
"Oracle’s Certified Partners bring extensive industry and local expertise in applications implementation and business process re-engineering. Through Oracle Accelerate, we’re committed to investing resources so that our partners have the tools and capabilities to easily bring low-cost, low-risk offerings based on Oracle applications to small and medium businesses and local governments in the Philippines," said Francis Ong, managing director of Oracle Philippines
Oracle partners are rolling out solutions for more than 30 industries, including real estate, food manufacturing, financial services, consumer products, high-tech manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, automotive, professional services, retail, utilities, travel, and transportation.
The key to Oracle Accelerate solutions is the availability of pre-packed application bundles that can be quickly implemented by partners and which provide a wide range of functionalities.
With Oracle Accelerate, customers can take advantage of Oracle’s enterprise applications, including integrated business flows across front office, back office, and industry-specific processes.
Customers also benefit from automated upgrades, significantly reducing the complexity and risk associated with migrating to updated versions.
