Spreading the Gospel has taken another monumental leap as Radyo Veritas, the radio station of the Catholic Church, creates its own website.
Radyo Veritas launched its website Friday in a bid to further expand its reach in promoting the Catholic faith and teachings through different media portals.
Fr. Anton Pascual, director of Radyo Veritas, said the website, www.veritas846.ph, aims to deliver quality and objective news and current affairs and also public service programs through the Internet.
Pascual said the website features live audio streaming that is available anytime. Live radio programs of Radyo Veritas will also be aired on the website.
The website also shows different Catholic doctrines and morals through channels dedicated to discuss the details of many tenets of the Catholic faith and Scriptural teachings.
The channels in the new website include Church News Updates, Saints of the Day, and Veritas Editorial.
Pascual said the Radyo Veritas website is powered by JobsDB.com, a leading interactive recruitment network in the Asia-Pacific region, as part of its commitment to the Church and its flock.
The website was officially launched Friday at the former residence of the late Jaime Cardinal Sin at Villa San Miguel in Mandaluyong City.
For over 35 years now, Radyo Veritas has continued to live up to its name as the "station of truth." It has been its mission to inspire and renew the Christian spirit through its programs dedicated to touching people’s lives and providing spiritual and moral guidance to its listeners.
During the martial law years, only Radyo Veritas continued its broadcast. It was in this radio station where Sin’s voice was heard, calling on the people to support the revolt against President Ferdinand Marcos, which led to the historic EDSA People Power in 1986.
