(Tarlac City, March 22) - IP e-Games, the leading online game publisher in the country, and a subsidiary of IPVG (PSE: IPVG), an information and technology communications company, will participate in the upcoming Tarlac Cyber Games (TCG) to be held in La Maja Rica Hotel on March 24.
IP e-Games is the major online gaming partner of the event and will be bringing three of its best titles-RAN Online, O2Jam and Audition Dance Battle-for a tournament among its best players.
RAN Online, the popular school-based MMORPG, will have several activities, such the RAN Bunutan, wherein those who will avail of the ePoints shop cards will get the chance to pick great in-game items for their characters. There will also be a tournament where players will engage in an online battle to determine the best school in the RAN Online world. E-Games will also hold the Gang Attack event which will encourage Gang (or Guilds) members to convene at the TCG. The Gang with the most number of members present automatically wins in-game prizes.
E-Games will also be holding the RAN Guild Congress to convene Tarlac-based RAN guilds and other RAN groups in other areas. The RAN Guild Congress aims to build lasting relationships with the growing RAN community and recognize guilds for their continued support as well.
IP e-Games' MMORPG Group Product Manager Heidi Mendita notes that these activities for RAN Online will help promote camaraderie among the game's avid players.
"We expect our gamers to have fun and strive hard to win in our events. Aside from cool in-game prizes, the winners in the tournament automatically become finalists in the RAN Battle Royale National Tournament which will be held at the e-Games Dom1nation, the 1st Year Anniversary celebration, happening this April 28," she says.
O2Jam, the leading rhythm casual game will be holding the third leg of Jammin' to Jakarta: The 2007 O2Jam Philippine Championship at TCG as well. Top players will join the roster of other winners who will compete in the e-Games Dom1nation anniversary. Players who will win in the finals will represent the country in the prestigious 2007 ASEAN Online Game Tournament.
"We feel that this is a very good opportunity to give back to our e-Games community in Tarlac for their support and enthusiasm towards our games," remarks Jason Tomas, IP e-Games Assistant Product Manager for Casual Games.
Meanwhile, Audition Dance Battle, the hottest dance casual game will also stage its own tournament to determine who rules the virtual dance floor. In-game items and Audition merchandise are just some of the prizes at stake. Freeplay activities will also be made available to those who want to try out the game.
"Our team has been preparing for this event and we want our first visit to be a success," Tomas adds. "So gamers should really prepare for the tournaments because we have a lot of prizes to give away."
TCG plans to gather gamers from various regions of the country into one grand event to promote gaming competition and to raise the skill level of players in order to compete for the World Cyber Games happening this October.
