Instead of the usual, guilds, gangs, groups fighting for the top spot, Battle Royale (BR) will pit hundreds of RAN Gamers against each other in a no-holds-barred fight-fest. No gangs, guilds or groups will be allowed but individual alliances can be formed. But only one player will emerge the best RAN Gamer.

Ed Pasion, IP e-Games marketing director, said that they are committed to bring the very best in online gaming entertainment and Battle Royale is just one of the many spectacular in-game events in store for online players. "We've seen guild, gang and party battles, but never massive single player fighting. Battle Royale will set the bar for future individual online battles," Pasion said. Heidi Mendita, IP e-Games group product manager, said that a separate server has been created just for Battle Royale. Currently in its game trials, Battle Royale fights have been going on since December 21, 2006 and they are held twice a day. Mendita said that they have seen the numbers rise and currently there are around 300 players for each round. "We expect the numbers to reach 500 before the third week of January," Mendita said.

The preliminary competition will start this January 25. From then one, two BR rounds will happen each Friday, Saturday and Sunday. First BR fight starts at 12:00 PM and a second one will start at 8:00 PM. The winning player for each BR round will win cash prizes and get a slot in the BR Grand Finals happening on March 31, which will coincide with IP e-Games' third year anniversary celebrations. Winning RAN gamers will get +7 weapon, a +7set of armor and a cool, fantabulous cash prize (Level of Registered RAN Character x 100). For instance, a winning RAN gamer with a registered level 120 character will get P12,000. For the Battle Royale Grand Finals, the weekly preliminary winners will fight out for the title the BR Grand Finals Winner and Best RAN Gamer. Players will get to chance to win as much as P150,000 individually.

The winner and the four (4) runners ups in the March 2007 Grand Finals competition will get a chance to prove their superior skills as they will represent the Philippines in the RAN Online Battle Royale World Championship to be held here! The very best RAN Online BR Players from Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and the rest of the world will be here to compete against our very own RAN-Bayan Battle Royale Champions.
