‘Audition Dance’ launch a success

The local online gaming world was shaken recently as "Audition Dance Battle" was launched to much fanfare and fun at the World Trade Center during the Hataw! Hanep! Hero TV Anniversary event.

Audition Dance Battle is the latest online casual game from IP e-Games, a leading online game publisher in the country.

Thousands of people visited the expansive, ultra-slick 600-square-meter launch pad of Audition Dance Battle. And because it was Audition’s introduction into the local gaming world, e-gamers took the opportunity to sample the game’s different features.

By the time the event finally kicked in, all computer stations at e-Games were filled to its capacity. Not only was Audition the hottest in-thing, e-gamers also played RAN Online and O2Jam to their heart’s content.

People could not wait to try this online dance game which features cool 3D animation and graphics, funky dance hits and customizable avatar characters.

On top of the PCs available for play, the e-Games booth had a huge dance floor that hosted live competitions for lucky visitors and participants. It also served as the staging area for the World Hip Hop dance group champions, the All-Stars, who performed their world-winning dance steps and moves.

As part of Audition’s launch, people were treated to several games and activities, among them the dance showdown. Three groups of participants took on the challenge to mimic Audition’s avatar characters in the easy, moderate and difficult rounds. Dance choreographer Clark showed how the dance moves were executed before the contestants each took their turns amid an enthusiastic audience.

And the fun didn’t stop there. There was a raffle activity, where in-game items and top-up cards were given away to lucky e-gamers. An in-game dance battle also kept the gamers busy in the virtual dance arena. Winners of the first in-game dance competition went home with fabulous goody bags from e-Games.

The first day was frenetic. As the queues formed outside of the World Trade Center, so did the number of people who registered at the e-Games pavilion.

According to Hero TV organizers, around 40,000 people visited the World Trade Center and most likely, the same number of people went through the e-Games Pavilion as well.

The second day of the event may have seen a decrease in the number of attendees due to the Pacquiao-Morales boxing face-off, but nevertheless, it did not deter those who still wanted to join in the fun at Audition: Dance Battle’s commercial launch.

E-Games continued to treat visitors with games and activities, dance lessons, and showdowns. The All Stars continued to dazzle visitors and participants and prizes continued to pour as more in-game items and top-up cards were given away.

"We’re very happy with the turnout (of Audition’s launch)," Ed Pasion, IP e-Games marketing director, said. "We made the right choice to bring Audition to the Philippines. It’s the number one casual game in the world, and in the first two days of its launch, we feel that we can make it as the number one online casual game in the Philippines."
