Gone are the days when a student has to anxiously wait for months on end to see his grades. Gone are the days when a student only remembers his financial obligations to his school when examination nears. Gone, too, are the days when a student has to wait in a long line for queries about his course, curriculum and schedule of subjects.
Enter the Unified Student Number (USN), which is a passport to all Web services and records given by the AMA Education System to all its students.
Once enrolled, a student has to automatically secure a USN account to enter the http://my.ama.edu.ph portal, a single sign-in facility to access various services by a student enrolled in any of AMA Education Systems affiliate schools.
This includes access to academic records, school and course information, e-Course contents, and campus announcements, to name a few.
What keeps this feature above the rest are its exclusive, value-added services such as the AMA Online Library, personalized AMA e-mail account, and the Intralearn LMS facility, which are all not found in traditional teaching institutions.
Another innovation is a students exclusive to his financial status regarding tuition and other payables. To help him plan ahead with his school activities, he can always log on and browse through his class schedules.
The student can use these services anytime just by logging on to the portal wherever there is an Internet facility.
The AMA student portal will always be updated on AMA events.
"These are technological innovations can greatly ease the travails of a students life in the campus. AMA has always been an advocate of hi-tech education and will continue to do so. We are proud to say that this innovation is backed up by our advanced IT infrastructure, and it is all the more improved by Mabuhay Satellites state-of-the-art facilities," said Paulo Noel Paje, AMA chief information officer.
