China Show to display electronic, other products

The biggest and most comprehensive display of China electronic products and machinery will happen on June 9-12 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
Over 300 Chinese nationals from over 100 highly reputable and big Chinese manufacturers and exporters of household electronic products and appliances, and communication and automation tools as well as automotive and motorcycle parts and accessories, food equipment and packaging machinery, industrial machinery and construction equipment, railway project, power transmission, hardware products, machinery, lamps and lighting products, pumps and many more products will arrive from China next week to participate in the China Machinery and Electronic Products Exhibition 2005 which will occupy over 5,500 square meters of exhibition space.
This is by far the biggest and most comprehensive gathering of Chinese manufacturers and exporters.
The opening of the event will be graced by no less than Vice Minister An Min of the Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China (MOFCOM), Ambassador Wu Hongbo of the Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China, and Yao Wenping, vice chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce for I/E of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).
The CCCME, the shows organizer, is the biggest association in China with over 6,000 members engaged in the machinery and electronic products industry.
On the Philippine side, a number of top government officials have confirmed their attendance in the event, including Speaker Joe De Venecia and Trade and Industry Undersecretary Tomas Aquino.
The exhibition is in line with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines.
Co-organizing the event is the Federation of Electrical and Electronics Suppliers and Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (FESSA), while the event manager is Global-Link Business Communications Phils. Inc. (tel. nos. 750-8588 and 887-1304).
The exhibition will have 248 booths. There will be daily authentic Chinese performances. Top Filipino and Chinese businessmen are gracing the events opening on June 9.
In 2004, the bilateral trade between the Philippines and China reached $13.33 billion, with Chinas imports from the Philippines reaching $9.05 billion and exports, $4.27 billion.
