3Com Corp. recently announced a strategic initiative to provide best-of-breed, automated managed service solutions for providers and enterprises of all sizes.
The new managed Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), security and network infrastructure solutions enable managed service providers, including carriers and systems integrators, to automate key elements of implementation, service configuration and support to reduce costs and improve service levels for customers.
The managed services will be based on 3Coms award-winning products: NBX solutions for voice, TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention Systems for security, and 3Com switches and routers for infrastructure.
"As a leading provider of secure, converged networking products and solutions, we believe we are the only company taking proactive steps to enhance products specifically for a managed service offering, making 3Coms managed service solutions the easiest to deploy, manage and support," said 3Com chief executive officer and president Bruce Claflin.
