IT experts to show latest trends in printing, imaging tech

Experts from various fields are set to show the latest trends in printing and digital imaging in different areas of applications – from desktop publishing, Web publishing and large-format advertising to pre-press, print production and multimedia and animation, among others.

This intensive and extensive technological demonstration will comprise the in-depth seminar series that will be held at the Philippine Trade Training Center, Roxas Boulevard, Manila on June 16-19 as part of Graphic Expo 2004.

A total of 29 interesting and exciting subjects will make up the Graphic Expo seminar series during the four-day run.

The seminars will feature the powerful tools in the latest version of leading imaging software Adobe Photoshop CS, the techniques in implementing color management, advanced masking skills for complex images, retouching tools to fix problem photographs, maximizing use of Adobe Illustrator CS to boost economy and productivity, Macromedia FreeHand MX to create sophisticated illustrations, and designing typeface or font to establish one’s identity.

Other seminar topics will unveil new ways of creating comic book illustrations and other works of sequential art, enhancing creative freedom through InDesign CS, the new staggering range of options from PDF for creative professionals, latest innovations in augmenting Flash designs and attaining a competitive edge, and the easiest means to transform a personal computer into an entire animation studio using Flash MX 2004.

The seminar on Macromedia Flash MX will also show how to jazz up corporate with rollover functions, create a total multimedia in any Mac or Windows computer without the need for any software or plug-ins and at file sizes smaller than those produced in traditional presentation software.

Other major seminar topics include CSS tips and tricks in Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, fundamentals of effective publication designs, optimizing Photoshop and Illustrator as imaging tools, editing essentials in Adobe Premiere Pro, compositing, color correction and special effects of Adobe Premiere Pro, optimizing videos for the Web and DVDs, editing video in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop CS for photographers, and paints and water color in Adobe.

Learning how to make interactive websites using multimedia tools, what’s up with Corel Draw 12.0, the money-making ABCs of quick print business, new trends and developments in printing technology, 3Ds Max 6 Phenomenal 3D rendering and new features and real projects, and Combustion 3: Academy award-winning motion graphics, compositing and visual effects on the desktop.

These seminars will be conducted amid a grand exhibit of this year’s latest state-of-the-art products, equipment, facilities, tools and services in desktop and Web publishing, digital imaging and photography, pre-press and print production, large-format printing, and multimedia and animation.
