Asus introduces new entry-level server

Top motherboard company Asus has introduced another quality product – the Asus PC-DL entry-level server AP1720-E1.

The powerful dual Xeon CPU MB packs a whole lot of special features that Asus believes will change the way PC users will look at motherboards.

These features include dual Intel Xeon 3.2Ghz CPUs with L3 1MB cache, chipset: Intel 82875P MCH + 82801ER (ICH5R), up to 4GB unbuffered dual-channel PC2700 ECC DDR memory, four DIMM slots, and Intel 82547EI CSA Gigabit Ethernet controller.

The AP1720-E1 supports RAID 0, 1 and functions on Serial-ATA drives from both South Bridge and Promise PDC20378 Serial ATA controller.

It has 6 x USB 2.0 connectors and 2 x IEEE 1394 connectors for various high-speed peripherals connection, built-in AD1985 6.1 channel audio controller for Asus Instant Music function, Intelligent BIOS supports, Q-Fan, C.P.R. and Asus POST Reporter function, 1 x AGP Pro 4x/8x slot, 5 x 32-bit/33MHz/5V PCI slots, and TrendMicro PC Cillin 2002 anti-virus software.
